Who she is:

Nancy has a warm, friendly heart and a passionate commitment to serving our residents with love and respect. She is very enthusiastic about providing group and individualized activities that incorporate the needs of the whole person at Hearthstone including the spiritual, mental, and relational as well as physical needs. Nancy has generously blessed us with her many years of organizational experience gained through working with seniors in various church and ministry settings.

What she does:

Nancy and her assistant, provide exercise classes, brain games, music and art activities and other spiritual and life-affirming, participatory events such as special outings, scenic drives, trips to local plays, and musical events. They create resident celebrations for holidays and many other special occasions and musical entertainment is brought in from talent in the surrounding community. The social schedule at Hearthstone is full and offers a wide variety of choices to please our residents. The monthly activity calendar lists the numerous daily events.

As our Hearthstone chaplain :

Nancy enjoys providing spiritual support for residents through Bible study, devotional times, and special services. She helps our new residents cope with transitional issues and losses by lending her listening ear and offering prayer and counseling when requested. When our residents are not well, Nancy takes time for a friendly and encouraging visit.
